MANUFACTURE OF BUILDING BOARD

PURPOSE:To manufacture a building board, having a recessed and projected pattern, inexpensively with a good production efficiency, by a method wherein a surface member is arranged on granules on a bottom force conveyer to convey it and the material of foam is supplied onto the surface member to form a foamed body layer on the same simultaneously with providing the surface member with the recessed and projected pattern by pressing them by upper and lower conveyers. CONSTITUTION:Granules 4 are dispersed between the guides 10 of a bottom force conveyer 2. Sand grains, glass beads, iron pieces, plastic pieces or the like are employed as the granules 4. A surface member 5 such as vinyl chloride resin sheet, an aluminum sheet or the like, which is reeled by a reeling roll 13, is unwound between the guides 10 of the bottom force conveyer 2 to convey it. Thereafter, the material 6 of foam such as phenol resin containing a foaming agent is supplied from a supplying nozzle 14 provided above the bottom force conveyer 2 onto the surface material 5 while the material 6 is foamed by heating to form a foamed body layer 7 on the rear surface of the surface member 5. At the same time, a backup sheet 6 is pressed against the foamed body layer 7 from a top force conveyer 1 to bond it. According to this method, the surface member 5 is pressed by the granules 4 and a recessed and projected pattern 8 may be formed continuously.
