This invention is intended to protect a heating light based on paraffin which, on the one hand, is used for lighting and, on the other hand, produces a considerable heating power. It may be employed as additional heating means for dwelling rooms and heating for tents, caravans and the like. The flames are stabilised by an air current. Used as wicks are arcuately attached wire spirals with inserts which achieve particularly good combustion.
