<p>Cassette for magnetic tapes, having upper and lower complementary cassette members which constitute the cassette in which reels for feeding and taking up a tape are housed, a front cover adapted to cover, by turning the front side portion, where the tape moves, of the cassette, the front side of the cassette so that the front side of the cassette can be opened and closed, and a front cover spring adapted to urge the front cover in one direction. The upper complementary cassette member in the present invention is provided with a mounting opening in a side wall thereof, and a turning shaft for the front cover at a corner portion of this opening. A locking projection for restricting the downward movement of the shaft and a slip-off preventing projection for restricting the forward movement of the same shaft are then provided on the upper complementary cassette member. This enables the front cover to be permanently fastened with the upper complementary cassette member alone.</p> |
