PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of abrasion and elongate the life of the title motor, by moving the part of pressure welding between a moving body and an oscillating body into the direction of the radius of rotation reciprocally. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating wave motor consists of an electrostrictive element 1, an annular oscillating plate 2, secured with the element 1 and generating a traveling wave, a reversed dish type moving body 3, an oscillating body supporting member 13 such as a felt or the like, the bottom plate 14 of the motor or the like. The title motor is also provided with a gear 10 having a shaft fixed to the center of the moving body 3, a gear 11 having the shaft fixed to the bottom plate 14 and a link 12 engaged rotatably with respective shafts of both gears 10, 11. When an AC voltage is impressed on the electrostrictive element 1 under this constitution, the traveling wave is generated in the oscillating plate 2 and the rotation of the moving body 3 is driven. In this case, said both gears 10, 11 are engaged, therefore, the moving body 3 rotates about the rotary center thereof and revolves (reciprocating motion shown by an arrow sign A in a diagram) about the shaft C. As a result, the powder of abrasion between the moving body 3 and the oscillating body 2 may be excluded toward the sides of inner and outer diameters. |
