In a socket pipe (1) for the transport of aggressive liquids, the shank (5) of the pipe body consists of cement concrete and its end parts, namely one part (8) of the socket end (2) and one part (9) of the spigot end (3), consist of a chemically resistant concrete, for example polymer concrete with an organic binder. The pipe body itself is provided on the interior surface with a lining (7) of chemically resistant material, for example plastic. By this means, it is achieved that the pipe (1) can be produced in a uniform production process in a conventional form mould, avoiding post-working, the pipe parts which correspond at least largely as regards the aggregates and differ only with respect to the binders are embedded in concrete by a "wet-on-wet" technique and sealed. <IMAGE>
