In order to be able to achieve corrosion protection in a simple manner for small electric motors which can be produced at a small cost and have stamped and bent and/or deep-drawn electrical sheet-steel motor parts, it is proposed that these motor parts be heat-treated electrically in a high-temperature annealing process and be coated externally, especially on the housing jacket (42, 52), with a corrosion protection film (10), a bare sheet-metal material which has not been previously treated with respect to corrosion protection being provided for the metal sheets which are heat-treated in the annealing process, and a galvanised sheet-metal material being provided for the other motor sheet-metal parts, which are not to be annealed, especially for the bearing plates (2, 3) which provide the external covering at the ends and are free of claw-pole tongues. <IMAGE>
