The radiator connecting element has a sliding bush (5) and a threaded joint for connecting radiators with fittings, and contains a radiator connecting plug (stopper) (1) in which the sliding bush (5) with retaining collar or locking ring for a cap nut (4) and fitting cone (8) is arranged capable of being adjusted in the longitudinal direction via a sealing arrangement (18). At its flange-free end, the sliding bush (5) can be secured against being pulled out by means of a detachable clamping safety device in the form of a safety clamping ring (6) inserted into a circumferential indentation. The radiator connecting element is distinguished in that the sealing arrangement (18) is provided at the end of a socket (34), projecting into the radiator, of the radiator connecting plug. On the armature side, the socket forms a recess (35) into which the sliding bush (5) and parts of the cap nut (4) can be recessed. If the sealing arrangement is configured in the form of a stuffing-box packing (2,3) to which a threaded joint (3) provided with a polygon (3a) can be applied, the cap nut (4', 4'') is constructed at the end face as a key for tightening the stuffing box. In this case, the cap nut (4') is preferably constructed in a plurality of parts and contains an insert (17) for securing the bush, from which it can be unscrewed and which connects the sliding bush (5) indirectly or directly to the fitting (23). <IMAGE>
