The invention relates to a ball-serving machine for tennis balls having a ball feed device (3), a ball-holding device (14), a striker (17) and a drive for the striker (17). According to the invention, the ball-holding device consists of two guide plates (15, 16), standing vertical and parallel to each other, with a circular outer contour (21). The striker (17) is pivotably mounted by its striker head (19) between the guide plates (15, 16). The ball feed device consists of vertical pipes (4, 6) fitted one into the other, tennis balls (7) being passed from an aperture (11) via a ball guide device designed as a guide fork (8) onto their bearing surface on the outer contour (21). The guide fork (8) is adjustable in its oblique position, as a result of which different flight curves can be set for balls struck away. <IMAGE>
