In the pivoting clamp described, a control lever (30) acts, via an inclined action surface (56), on a clamping wedge (48) which forms a moving clamping element, in order to impart to said clamping wedge, in the event of actuation in the direction of movement of the strap, a speed component equal to the speed of the strap at that moment, so that in the vertical movement direction there is no relative movement between the moving clamping wedge and the strap. This is achieved by a lower design height of the clamping element and by smaller loads imposed on the control lever. |
