In the case of a front panelling of a private car, there is provided a front apron which is arranged on the underside of the front region and is configured as a flexible hollow body. When the car is being driven, the cavity of the front apron is acted upon, with the aid of a hose guided to the front region of the vehicle, by the dynamic pressure occurring there. The front apron consequently forms an aerodynamic shape. At low speeds of the vehicle, that is to say in the event of low dynamic pressure, the front apron is transferred, with the aid of a spring, into a resting position in which it is arranged in a concealed manner and, for the most part, is withdrawn from the slipstream. The front apron is thus lowered only when the vehicle is travelling at high speeds, this resulting in a considerable improvement in the drag coefficient of the vehicle.
