An electronic ballast having a resonant circuit which is formed from an inductor (L1), designed as a limiting choke, and a capacitor (C10) connected in parallel with the fluorescent lamp (10). The resonant circuit alternately controls two controllable switches (V25, V26) so that, after the resonant circuit is shocked into oscillation, said circuit continues to oscillate automatically, as a result of which the resonant voltage occurring on the capacitor (C10) ignites the lamp. <IMAGE> |
