This invention includes a coextruded cookie having a high sugar content being formed by continuous coextrusion. A crisp external cookie-like casing is simultaneously coextruded with a soft internal cream filling. The external casing contains between about 2% and about 35% sugar. This invention also includes a process for making a coextruded cookie having a high sugar content. The process includes the steps of mixing, feeding, coextruding, and machining an external casing composition of high sugar content and an internal filling composition of high sugar content. |
