The invention concerns a sailboard body (1) made of plastic or the like. The sailboard body (1) has a deck surface (2) on its upper side, which is divided into a bow area (4) and a stern standing area (5), and a lower side (6) forming the submerged part of the sailboard. At least in the bow area (4), the deck surface (2) has a cross-sectional shape which creates an excess pressure on the upper side of the board in comparison with the lower side when the air flows at an angle to the center line (9) of the sailboard body (1). <IMAGE>
