In a vending machine, of which the actuating elements, for example actuating pushers (2), are connected via a common transversely displaceable push rod (1), the return of the push rod (1) out of the release position into the initial position is delayed by a time-delay mechanism (13). This ensures that the coins accumulated in the release device of the vending machine can fall off completely before a new actuating operation takes place. The time-delay mechanism (13) has a blocking bolt (14) which comes into engagement via an oblique face (16) with a stop (15) on the push rod (1).
