The coating comprises a mixture consisting essentially of a) cellulose esters or poly(meth)acrylates or copolymers thereof and b)at least one antistat. It also contains as an additive a component which is compatible with the mixture, selected from the group of the plasticisers, the vinyl polymers or the polyesters. The weight ratio of antistat to additive is within the range from about 1:1 to 1:15, preferably from about 1:2 to 1:6.
