In an interior lighting arrangement (1) in large vehicles for carrying passengers (aircraft, watercraft or land vehicles), lighting devices (10) in the form of strip lights or fluorescent tubes, are installed in the region of the luggage rack (3) at the top of the vehicle with a handrail (4) approximately at the height of the actual rack in the region of the vertical luggage compartment side walls or supports (5) directly behind the handrail (4) pointing slightly inwards and upwards and extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The lighting devices shine an indirect light, after reflection on the support (5), into the interior of the vehicle in such as manner that it is dazzle-free for the vehicle occupants. Since the lighting devices protrude beyond the support width within the modular pattern, the adjacent luggage compartments (6, 7) are illuminated at the same time. In the longitudinal region between the individual, abovementioned lighting devices (10), there are further strip lighting or fluorescent-tube lighting devices (14) for direct radiation of light upwards in the direction of the interior of the luggage compartments (6, 7) or downwards in the direction of the interior of the vehicle (general interior lighting - in contrast to the emergency lighting device (10) for night journeys) (Figure 1). <IMAGE> |
