In a mounting device for a picture tube in a housing of a monitor or television receiver with support elements with adjustment devices onto which the picture tube can be placed with its mounting lugs and can be mounted on these by means of screw connectors, a cylindrical receiving pin is provided which exhibits partially circumferential clamping steps with oblique toothing placed onto the outer surface. On the overhanging cylinder part, a clamping element is placed which exhibits a curve shape in accordance with the clamping steps with opposite oblique toothing. This clamping element can be turned out step by step with respect to the clamping steps. The picture tube is mounted on the clamping element via a screw engaging through the mounting lugs and the clamping element and which can be turned into the receiving holes.
