PURPOSE:To obtain a novel Bacillus brevis useful as a host mold in gene recombination, producing a large amount of protein outside a mold but not protease outside a mold. CONSTITUTION:A Bacillus brevis producing a large amount of protein outside a mold but not protease outside a mold. Since the novel Bacillus brevis can secrete a product by gene recombination outside a mold efficiently and does not decompose the product by gene recombination, the Bacillus brevis is extremely excellent as a host mold in gene recombination. Bacillus brevis H102 and Bacillus brevis H503 are deposited as RERM BP-1087 and FERM BP-1088, respectively, as the above-mentioned Bacillus brevis, to Fermentation Research Institute. |
