PURPOSE:To produce silver peroxide useful as anode active substance for silver peroxide cell, having improved moldability, by drying silver peroxide powder, obtained by chemical synthetic method and vacuum dried or hot-air dried, under reduced pressure under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A silver salt (e.g. AnNO3) is reacted with a persulfate (e.g. K2S2O3) and a caustic alkali (e.g. NaOH) to give silver peroxide powder, which is vacuum dried at <=60 deg.C or hot-air dried at <=80 deg.C. Then the silver peroxide powder is hot-air dried at normal pressure in a range obtained by formula I-formula III of the figure [X is drying time ( deg.C); Y is drying time (H)]. |
