PURPOSE:To reduce incomplete sliding due to biting of micro iron chip considerably, by employing an approximately circular cross-section for a movable core and sliding only a projected portion of a guide barrel against the sideface of the movable core. CONSTITUTION:Power is supplied intermittently to an electromagnetic coil 4 so as to move a movable core 7 in the direction of a central shaft in a cylinder 8 thus communicating a fuel supply path 9 intermittently. An approximately circular smooth cross-section is provided to a guideboard 7b for the movable core 7. A guide barrel 12 for guiding the movable core 7 in the axial direction is formed of non-magnetic material. Only a projected portion 21 of the guide barrel 12 slides against the sideface of the movable core 7. Consequently, a sufficient gap can be ensured between the movable core 7 and the inner circumferential face of the guide barrel 12 so as to avoid biting of foreign matter thus reducing incomplete sliding due to biting of foreign matter. |
