Rolling-cut shears for cutting sheet metal.

A method of cutting a sheet material with rolling-cut shears is effected by introducing a bow-shaped blade (2) into the sheet material (13) and rolling it along a straight blade (1) and simultaneously bending out the cut-off part (15). The cut-off part (15) is bent in a direction opposite to the direction of the previous bent by an angle which remains constant until the end of the cutting process and sufficient for straightening the cut part (15). The shears are provided with a rigid immobile guide (14) which serves as a support for the cut part (15) during its bending and is mounted on a table (3) at such a distance from the cutting edge of the straight blade (1) in the direction of displacement of the bow-shaped blade (2) during the cutting process which is essentially equal to the sum of the thickness of the sheet material (13) and of the overlap between the straight (1) and bow-shaped (2) blades.
