PURPOSE:To enhance catalytic activity and stability thereof at a long period by using composite carbonate compd. consisting of Bi contg. required Na and other specified component as a feed compd. of Bi, Na and the other specified component and forming a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:An Mo-Bi-base composite oxide catalyst is produced by coalescing composite carbonate compd. consisting of Bi contg. required Na and at least one part of required X component as a feed compd. of Bi, Na and X and heating it. This catalyst is shown by a formula I (X shows Mg, Ca, Zn, Ce and Sm, Y shows K, Pb, Cs and Tl, Z shows B, P, As and W, (a)-(k) are atomic ratio of elements, and in case of a=12, b=0.5-7, c=0-10, d=0-10, (c+d)=(1-10), e=0.05-3, f=0.01-1, g=0.01-1, h=0.04-0.4, i=0-3, j=0-48, and k shows an oxidized state of the other elements). |
