Zeolite catalyst, containing a highly dispersed noble metal, is prepared by intense physical mixing, e.g., mix mulling the zeolite, noble metal and a binder into an extrudate and chlorine treating the extrudate to achieve a high dispersion of noble metal on the catalyst.
