The invention relates to a method for producing a storage-resistant ivy leaf extract by using an extracting agent, said extract comprising at least the ingredients hederacoside C and a-hederin. According to the inventive method, a certain quantity of ivy leaves is first comminuted, whereupon the comminuted quantity of ivy leaves is vaporized with hot steam, and the extracting agent is added and extracted. The obtained extract can optionally be dried.
