PURPOSE:To prevent the edge or the like of a mold from wearing and deforming and at the same time make it possible to manufacture a molded item with glossy surface texture by a method wherein the surface of metal and/or ceramic spray films, which are formed onto a molding die, is polished. CONSTITUTION:When the forming of a spray film by ceramic spraying material is intended, a method to be adopted is the spraying of metal-based spraying material, preferably nickel-aluminum, nickel-chrome, molybdenum-nickel- aluminum composites or the like as ground coating material in order to enhance the adhesion between a mold and ceramic and in addition the spraying of ceramic as face coating material. Ceramic or ceramic-containing spraying material excellent in wear resistance is exemplified by Al2O3, Al2O3.TiO2 composite, TiO2, WC or the like. The surface of the formed spray film layer with satin surface texture is polished into a surface roughness of which is 1.0-3.6mum, preferably about 2.0-3.6mum, in centerline average height (Ra value). |
