PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic having synergistically raised adsorbing properties, providing hair with luster and smoothness, having improved conditioning effect, containing a specific quaternary trimethylammonim derived polypeptide and a cationic high polymer compound. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing (A) 0.01-5wt% preferably 0.1-3wt% compound shown by formula I (R1 is amino acid side chain constituting polypeptide derived from collagen; n is 3-20) obtained by quaternizing a polypeptide drived from collagen and (B) 0.01-5wt% preferably 0.1-3wt% cationic high polymer compound such as poly(dimethyldiallylammonium) type cationic high polymer compound shown by formula II or formula III (R2 and R3 are H or CH3; X is halogen; p is 150-6,200) or cationic high polymer compound of copolymer type of dimethyldiallylammonium halide and acrylamide shown by formula IV (R4 and R5 are H or CH3; q and r are 150-9,000). |
