PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition extremely useful for preventing and treating periodontal diseases, showing improved foaming properties even by blending with highly concentrated sodium chloride, having good feeling in use, by blending toothpaste with sodium chloride, an anionic surface active agent and further dextrin. CONSTITUTION:Toothpaste is blended with 2-30wt% based on total amounts of a toothpaste composition of sodium chloride, 0.1-5wt% anionic surface active agent such as sodium lauryl sulfate, hydrogenated coconut fatty acid, N-acylglutamate, etc., and 0.1-10wt%, preferably 0.5-5wt% dextrin (preferably having <=42 dextrose equivalent). The composition attains sufficient cleaning in the oral cavity without lowering forming properties of surface active agent because of salting-out action caused by use of highly concentrated sodium chloride. |
