PURPOSE:To fix a chip core and slider and to prevent the deterioration of characteristics by disposing the chip core, the gap part of which is reinforced by using a glass compsn. consisting of a specific compsn. range, into a recess provided to the slider consisting of a nonmagnetic material and subjecting the same to glass molding at a prescribed working temp. CONSTITUTION:The ferrite chip core for which the glass of the essential components within the compsn. range of 33-44(wt%, hereafter the same) SiO2, 35-50 Bi2O3, 5-13 R2O, 7-11 CdO, and 1-3 ZrO2 is used to reinforce the gap part, is subjected to the glass molding at the temp. lower by >=50 deg.C than the softening point of said reinforcing glass. The glass 1 having a high melting point is deposited in the form of films on the gap-side faces of ferrite core half bodies 2 and 3 worked to a prescribed shape to form the glass gap. The core half bodies 2, 3 are butted to each other and while a back pressure is held exerted thereto by a spring 5 via ceramic spacer 7, the core half bodies are set to a jig 8. The magnetic head which has the high accuracy and is less deteriorated in the characteristic is thereby obtd. |
