PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform a soft ignition having a low explosion sound by reducing the quantity of fuel oil at the time of igniting to half that of burning. CONSTITUTION:A fuel from a discharge valve 27 passes through a filter 46 by a pumping operation and pushes the top part 47 of a first plunger 31 thereby to move the same to the suction side against a pressure regulating spring 37. A second cylinder 32 opens the passage of a clearance between the same and a second plunger 33 by the separation of an end surface 48 from an O-ring 40, and the discharge pressure of a pump assumes an ignitable value. While a fuel oil is discharged from an orifice 42 through a through holes 43 and 52, and a passage 29 to a pump suction port 14, it obtains a pressure transfer characteristic delaying a discharge pressure rising time at the quantity limited by an orifice 42 to move the first plunger to a stopper 36. The discharge pressure of the pump suddenly rises from a point P2 and is maintained at a discharge pressure P3 at the normal combustion time by the adjustment of a relief valve. The ignition is sufficient immediately after the rise of the pump discharge pressure P1, and the combustion is sufficient at the discharge pressure P2. |
