The invention relates to a foldable stand/riser having a number of steps (1-4) which are positioned at different levels when the stand/riser is in its position for use and which are supported by legs (5, 6, 7) provided at least at certain of steps (1, 2, 4) whereby at least some (6, 7) of the legs are foldable for folding the stand/riser. According to the invention the foldable legs (6, 7) are independently foldable towards the respective steps (2 and 4) and the steps (1-4) are connected to each other in pairs by means of connecting bars (12, 23, 34) connected between a long side of a step (1, 2, 3) of the respective pair and the adjacent long side of the next step (2, 3, 4) of the respective pair, whereby each of the connecting bars (12, 23, 34) comprises a hinge (13, 24, 35). |
