摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a permanent magnet material foil having high maximum energy product, by subjecting a molten metal with prescribed temp. composed of an Si-containing rare earth-Fe-B alloy to melt spinning so as to form the above molten metal into the prescribed foil. CONSTITUTION:An alloy having a composition represented by Fe100-a-b-cRaBbSic (where R means Y and rare earth elements including Nd and/or Pr and (a), (b), and (c) stand for, by atom, 10-15%, 4-10%, and 0.4-3%, respectively), in which Co may be substituted for Fe up to 20%, is melted at >=1,250 deg.C. This molten alloy is cooled very rapidly to be formed into a foil. This foil contains >=95vol% crystalline grains having a tetragonal structure as a main phase and also has 20-200nm grain size and >=15MGOe maximum energy product (BH)max.
