PURPOSE:To form an ornamental plated layer having enhanced luster and reflectiveness by forming a composite plated layer contg. deposited transparent fine particles having reflectiveness on the surface of a blank to be plated and by forming a colorless transparent film on the composite plated layer. CONSTITUTION:A plated semi-bright Ni layer 2 is formed on the surface of a blank 1 to be plated, a plated bright Ni layer 3 is formed on the layer 2 and simultaneously transparent fine particles 4 having reflectiveness are deposited in the layer 3. A colorless transparent coating film 5 is further formed on the film 3 by electrodeposition. The particles 4 are colorless or colored and are made of diamond, ruby, rock crystal, quartz, molten alumina, molten silica or glass beads. Thus, an ornamental plated layer having enhanced luster and reflectiveness is formed and plural color tones or an ornamental effect is obtd. |
