PURPOSE:To prevent low-temperature liquefied gas from leaking to the outside even if an inner tank is burst by an accident by preventing low-temperature brittle fracture of an outer tank by the insulating action of a cold insulator fitted to the whole inner surface of the outer tank in the liquid-tight state. CONSTITUTION:Studs 6 are connected by tie rods 8, and a ring reinforcement 7 is fixed to the upper parts of the studs 6. The outer surface of the diameter portion of a spherical outer tank 2, in which a cold insulator 12 is fitted to the whole inner surface thereof in the liquid-tight state, is welded to the ring reinforcement 7 and fixed to support the outer tank 2 on the studs 6. Thus, a spherical inner tank 1 which stores low-temperature liquefied gas in the outer tank 2 is suspended and supported in such a manner as to form space between the cold insulator 12 and the inner tank 1. In this arrangement, low-temperature gas can be prevented from leaking to the outside in case of an accident. |
