摘要 PURPOSE:To enable an optical writing with a small and light-weight semiconductor laser, by a method wherein a layer containing a diacetylene derivative compound and a layer containing a squarylum dye are laminated and a recording layer having two or more bonding faces of the both layers is provided. CONSTITUTION:A diacetylene derivative compound (DA compound) having hydrophilic portions and hydrophobic portions is a compound capable of 1,4-addition polymerization between C identical C - C identical C functional groups in adjacent moleculars, as shown by a formula I (where X represents a hydophilic group forming a hydrophilic portion and (m), (n) represent integers). A squarylium dye 6 is a compound having a base structure shown by a formula II (where A<1> and A<2> represent a substituent containing aromatic ring and/or heterocyclic ring) and having an absorption peak at 750 nm or over and heating due to an infrared light of this wavelength. In an optical recording medium ; for example, a B layer 4 of a monomolecular film containing the squarylium dye 6 is formed on a substrate 1, thereon an A layer 3 of a 2-degree monomolecular built-up film of the DA compound is laminated, thereon a B layer 4 of a monomolecular film containing the squarylium dye 6 is formed, and a recording layer 2 consists of these three layers.
