PURPOSE:To eliminate burrs at a separator aud to improve the antileakage property, by forming a ring form heat-pressing part of a size including a separator punching diameter on a sheet-formed non woven fabric for producing the separator, and punching the heat-pressing part at the punching diameter to form the separator. CONSTITUTION:By lowering a heater member 12a to press a vinylon non woven fabric 10, and then by raising the heater member 12a, a ring form recessed groove heat-pressing part 10a is formed. In the heat-pressing part 10a, the non woven fabrics are molten each other in a glass form and the hardness is increased compared to the other places. When the non woven fabric 10 is transferred to make the heat-pressing part 10a positioned concentric with a puncher 14, the puncher 14 is lowered while a receiving table 16 is raised, to hold the fabric 10 and punch it by the both members. After a separator is formed, a cell is assembled in a normal process. Therefore, as well as the punching is carried out easily, burrs at the peripheral edge of the separator can be prevented from producing. |
