PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic containing a hydroxyl derivative of vitamin D3 as an active component and having excellent chapped skin amelioration effect, skin-beautifying effect, skin-conditioning effect, etc. CONSTITUTION:A hydroxyl derivative of vitamin D3 such as 1alpha-hydroxychole- calciferol, 25-hydroxycholecalciferol, 5,6-trans-25-hydroxycholecalciferol, 24R- hydroxycholecalciferol, 1alpha,24R-dihydroxycholecalciferol, 1alpha,25- dihydroxycholecalciferol, etc., is compounded to a cosmetic at an amount of 0.001-5wt%, preferably 0.01-2wt% based on the whole cosmetic. The derivative is preferably 1alpha,25- or 1alpha,24R-dihydroxycholecalciferol from the viewpoint of immediate action of skin-conditioning and skin-beautifying effects. |
