Protective surface (1) that is erected in whole or in part of materials that can be stored in a space-saving manner, in order to reduce or prevent nuclear irradiation in permanently occupied areas (2). The embodiment of the patent consists mainly of flexible containers (3), which are filled with water in particular, and whose loads are transmitted into the components (4) of the normal structure in such a way that overloading is avoided. The embodiment can be pre-installed without the water filling, and can be filled automatically, depending on the radiation exposure.
