PURPOSE:To enable record high in density and resolution and good in contrast and to enhance durability against repeated uses by using a spiropyran compd. having a specified structure. CONSTITUTION:An intended compsn. is obtained by dispersing into a polymer, microparticles of a compd. having 0.1-50mum average particle diameter represented by formula ( I ) in which (n) is an integer of 2<=n<=30; R1 and R2 are each H, 1-5C alkoxy, 2-6C alkoxycarbonyl, or halogen; and the nitro group condenses at the 6'- or 8'-position. |
