<p>PURPOSE:To improve the economy of a digital exchange by providing a signal device receiving packet information on a stage behind a line concentrator and permitting a signal device connection means to connect the signal device through the line concentrator when a digital subscriber line is activated. CONSTITUTION:The signal device (SIG)7 is connected at the stage behind the line concentrator (LC)5. An activation control part 81 and a signal device connection pair 82 are provided as the signal device connection means 100 in a processor (CP) 8. If a request to start communications is issued to a terminal equipment 2 that stops communications, the activation control part 81 in the processor 8 controls a station side line terminal equipment 4, and acquires the synchronization of digital communications between said equipment 4 and an in-house line terminal equipment 3, and activates the digital subscriber line 10. After the signal device connection part 82 selects the dead signal device 7, it controls the line concentrator 5, and connects the station side line terminal equipment 4 corresponding to the digital subscriber line 10 and the selected signal device 7.</p> |
