The invention relates to the mounting of a window pane (5) in a frame (3) by means of an elastic profile strip (4) which is clamped in a first longitudinal groove (6) onto a flange (2) of the frame (3) and in a further longitudinal groove (7) holds the edge region of the window pane (5). The intention is to improve the mounting in such a manner that even thick-sided window panes sit firmly without the use of an adhesive. According to the invention, for this purpose the edge region of the pane (5) has a step-like portion (21) which is supported via a central piece (14) of the profile strip (4) laterally against the flange (2); at the same time, the first longitudinal groove (6), which is reinforced with a supporting tape (10), is provided with barb-like extensions (13). <IMAGE> |
