A missile (10) has a pair of diametrically opposed fins (13, 14) projecting from a body (11) so as to provide opposed rolling moments about a longitudinal axis (12) of the body and operating means for selectively varying the exposed area of the individual fins for roll control of the missile. In a preferred embodiment the fins are movable about lateral pivotal axes (13a, 14a) to stowed positions substantially within the body. The fins lie in a plane inclined to the fore-and-aft axis of the missile (Fig. 3). A solenoid (17) actuates push rods (18, 18a) to pivot the fins about axes (13a, 14a) under the control of sensing means which senses any tendency to roll. <IMAGE>
