Arrangement of exhaust turbocharger, blow-off valve and exhaust manifold on a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine

The invention relates to an arrangement, favourable to the overall fluid dynamics and structure, of exhaust turbocharger, blow-off valve and exhaust manifold on a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, individual pipes of the exhaust manifold, connected to the cylinder head, opening into a collector section, to which the turbine housing of the exhaust turbocharger is connected. In this, the individual pipes are led from the cylinder head to the collector section so that they are essentially of the same length and open into the collector section with essentially the same inlet angles of < 45@ to the flow centre axis of the collector section. The individual pipes are essentially composed of a 90@ pipe bend and a 180@ pipe bend, the planes of curvature of the pipe bends being offset at approximately 90@ to one another. The exhaust turbocharger is laterally suspended below the exhaust manifold close to the cylinder housing of the internal combustion engine, whilst the blow-off valve is arranged opposite and centrally between the openings of the individual pipes.
