PURPOSE:To prevent scale formation and metal corrosion on the metallic surface in a water system by adding a water treating agent contg. fine mineral powder having specific natural residual magnetization as an effective component to said system. CONSTITUTION:The fine mineral powder having 10<-4>-10<-13>T natural residual magnetization is added as the effective component to the water treating agent. The scale formation on the metallic surface and the metal corrosion thereof in the water system are prevented by adding such water treating agent to the water system so as to incorporate the agent at 10-200ppm in the water system. The more specific example of the mineral which has the above-mentioned specific magnetization and is utilized in this method includes the clay and ore, etc., produced near Kitakata-cho, Higashi-Usuki-gun or Hinokage-cho, Nishi- Usuki-gun, Miyazaki Prefecture of Japan. |
