PURPOSE:To execute rolling at a high draft at cold with a small-scale equipment pass by repeating the superpositioning and placing of plural metallic bars on the plate surface of a flat plate die having the front end formed to an acute angle and the pressing and transferring thereof with press rolls. CONSTITUTION:The press roller 6 rolls in the range corresponding to the plate surface 4 when the superposed metallic bars 2, 3 are positioned on the plate surface 4a of the flat plate die 4. A transfer device transfers the metallic bars 2, 3 by a prescribed length S from the front end to the rear of the flat plate die 4 at every completion of the rolling. The metallic bars 2, 3 are rolled so as to expand transversely in the superposed state when such operations are repeated. The securely joined clad strip 7 is thus obtd. |
