Rotary disc filter, in which the discs are provided with a pressing system and are anchored on a common shaft. The filter can be used both for dynamic and static filtering. The intermediate spaces between the individual discs can be closed and individual filter discs can be mounted rotatably on the common shaft, whereas other discs are fitted so as to rotate together with the common shaft. The filters themselves may be arranged in multiple units on a supporting structure similar to a Ferris wheel and may be immersed together with the structure in a sludge chamber. External extraction devices enable the filter cake to be withdrawn automatically. |
