<p>PURPOSE:To reduce an overhead following the search of a stack dictionary by forming the stack dictionary for stacking word information appearing in a document in a main memory for a while and an entry table. CONSTITUTION:The stack dictionary 6 is formed in the memory in addition to a resident dictionary 4. The stack dictionary 6 temporarily stacks only word information stored in a non-resident dictionary 5 and used recently while successively overwriting the information. In case of increasing entries in the stack dictionary 6, the pointer of the entry concerned in the stack dictionary 6 is set up in the entry table 3 and a required entry in the stack dictionary 6 is directly referred, so that overhead at the time of referring the dictionary can be reduced.</p> |
