PURPOSE:To enable a record high in density and homogeneity to be formed with high sensitivity by periodically laminating each monomolecular film or built-up molecular film of a diacetylene derivative and a specified cyanine dye. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer 2 is obtained by periodically laminating on a base plate made of glass or the like the layer 3 of the monomolecular film or built-up molecular film of the diacetylene derivative, such as H(CH2)m- CidenticalC-CidenticalC-(CH2)n-X, X being a hydrophilic group and each of (m) and (n) being an integer, and the layer 4 of the monomolecular film or built-up molecular film of one of the cyanine dyes 5 represented by formulae [I]-[III] in which each of R<1> and R<2> is H, alkyl, or the like; each of R<3> and R<4> is H or halogen; each of Z1 and Z2 is an atomic group necessary to form an N-containing hetero ring; each of A1 and A2 is a divalent hydrocarbon forming a 5- or 6-membered ring; M<+> is an anion; and X<-> is an anion. In the case of laminating said 2 kinds of layers 3, 4, two or more jointed faces are formed. |
