PURPOSE:To easily form shapes having various sectional shapes at a low cost by subjecting the plastically worked part of a slit plate to local heating and subjecting the compressed part formed by compressive molding of the heated part in the transverse direction thereof to roll forming. CONSTITUTION:As-rolled material 1 on the outlet side of a plate rolling mill 7 is cut to a stock 3 by a slitter 8 and is conveyed to a finishing line by a shift device 9. The stock is guided to an induction heater 10. The stock 3 is locally heated to a prescribed temp. and is compressively molded by a continuous compression molding machine 11 to a stock 4. The stock 3 is then roughly finished to a stock 5 by rough finishing rolls constituted of a recessed roll 12a and a projecting roll 12b. The stock 5 is further formed to a product shape 6 by finishing rolls constituted of a recessed roll 13a and a projecting roll 13b. |
