PURPOSE:To perform sharp recording easily by eliminating at least the prearranged part of a glazed layer through postworking and providing at a thermal element and an electrode on the glazed layer. CONSTITUTION:A protruded narrow center part 13 is formed longitudinally by working a glazed layer 2 of a head. The glazed layer 2 which is provided in a straight line on an insulative base (e.g. ceramic substrate such as alumina) is made of silica oxide, for instance. Normally 24 thermal elements (e.g. tantalum nitride) layers 3 are arranged across the glazed layer 2. One side of the thermal element layer 3 contacts, for instance, an aluminium or gold signal element 5, while the other side contacts, for instance, an aluminium or gold signal electron 6. The signal is transmitted to a thermal part 7 from a signal electrode 6. This head prints moving sideways with the selective heating of the thermal part 7 by a selective pulse signal from the signal electrode 6. Thus a sharp recording can easily be performed even on a rough paper. |
