The goods vehicle has a load bed with cavities (2) formed on the floor, on which extend rollers (3) whose axes are parallel to the surface. They are vertically movable between a high and low position, each cooperating with two cover plates. These are pivotally connected to the vehicle floor at or near back-turned walls (6). When the cavities are closed, the plates face each other, and at the roller the parallel free front walls (7) border each other in the vertical plane. In this top position, they are swung up from the bed floor. Their front walls rest below the upper most line. The positioning of each roller is performed by hidden hydraulic cylinders with pistons. These can also be used to drive the cylinders pneumatically, mechanically or electrically, or in combination.
